MITCHELL PLITNICK is a member of the Coordinating Committee of JVP, its newsletter editor, and an editor of Jewish Peace News. He was raised an orthodox Jew in a pro-Israel environment. He has been studying Israeli and Jewish history since he was a child and has continued to study history and religious tracts all through his life even though he abandoned the faith at a young age. He helped set up the Mideast Watch section of Z magazine's web site.  In 2000, Mitchell graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in Middle Eastern Studies.

DAVID MEIR-LEVI  is an America-born Israeli. He has taught Near Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University and the University of Tel Aviv. He has created a series of presentations in which he reviews the documented and verifiable history of the Arab-Israel conflict, assesses the current unrest in light of its historical roots, and offers possible
scenarios for solutions. David has lectured widely in the Bay Area. He leads a weekly radio broadcast at Stanford University, called "Middle East Media Watch.”

We are looking for volunteers to help us in all areas, ranging from political consultation, event coordination and videography, to the creation of marketing documents and graphics.  Please visit http://www.PolitiKafe.org.
