War on Terror

Wednesday, September 11, 2002, 8-10 p.m.

Whether you want to express your opinion, listen to others talk, or just participate in the conversation, join PolitiKafe in our monthly political event. This time we are creating a salon, a space to meet and talk.

A PolitiKafe appointed moderator will facilitate the discussions.

Our events are held on the second Wednesday of every month.

What’s a SALON? It’s a gathering of people for the purpose of engaging in informal discussions.

How does it work? We’ll setup 4-5 discussion tables where people can sit, eat, and chat.. We’ll appoint one person as the moderator at each table and provide suggested discussion threads and leave the rest to the audience…there will be a break every 30 minutes where table members can move to a different table.

The session will end at 10 p.m. but we will reconvene at one of the local bars (details TBD) bet 10:30-10:45 if anyone is interested in socializing afterwards.

Cost: $7 advance purchase / $8 advance booking without purchase / $10 at the door

(covers FOOD and rental space)

Advance booking can be made by emailing reserve@PolitiKafe.org with the subject "Sep 11, 2002 booking."

There'll be food and water at each discussion table. The food will consist of hummus, pita bread, and cheese/tomato finger sandwiches. We'll also make hot water and tea bags available for those who need caffeine.
